Aviation Merit Badge
AVIATION:
MB counselor is Kevin Spala at kevin.spala@gmail.com — Four merit badge classes were completed. Scouts should finish workbook, MB blue card, and review with Mr. Spala before, during, or after troop meetings for merit badge “sign-off”.
Scouts learned the uses and types of aircraft and engines, the forces of flight, airplane control surfaces, airplane certificates, aircraft instruments, and aviation careers. Scouts also built a simple, model FPG-9 plane, had an opportunity to fly an airplane simulator, and visited the Yankee Air Museum.
