RANK ADVANCEMENT

All scouts should have received a Tenderfoot through First Class Advancement DVD, which shows all tasks or rank requirements for each rank. If you did not receive one, please see Kevin 1.0.

Whilst we reinforce scout skills during the year at troop meetings and campouts, we encourage parents to occasionally watch portions of the video with their scout and work with them to learn new skills.

ORIENTEERING

There are a couple map and compass skills required for both second and first class advancement. Scouts can practice these skills by reviewing the orienteering powerpoint and by participating in a SMOC event.
